The treatment of atopic dermatitis should be performed by the specialist, who will indicate according to the characteristics of the patient, the treatments considered appropriate to reduce itching, redness or erythema, so as other injuries caused by this disease.
Some general measures are recommended, such as the use of cotton clothes, moisturizing creams (indicated by the specialist) and also avoid prolonged baths especially with very hot water.
In addition, the dermatologist may prescribe, if necessary, creams with corticosteroids to be used locally, as well as topical immunomodulators (which are the inhibitors of calcineurin, so as tacrolimus and pilecronumus). Also, oral antihistamines to reduce itching may be prescribed. In some cases, both oral and topical antibiotics may be necessary when the lesions are infected.
It should be noted that an effective treatment to control atopic dermatitis has not yet been discovered. For this reason, many companies are doing research in order to get the best treatment to control the itching achieving an anti-inflammatory sensation in those lesions of eczema of atopic dermatitis.
Zurko Research is a company of investigation, where we value all those treatments or therapeutic proposals through studies of tolerance, safety, and effectiveness in volunteers. Always in a very controlled manner and with highly qualified professionals. For this reason, we are going to do studies in atopic dermatitis. We invite you to contact us to be part of these studies!
