Dermatologists have not yet found the specific cause of its origin. However, a number of factors that can influence its appearance are known:
• Genetics: Recent research has shown that there is a relationship between asthma, atopic dermatitis and hay fever with genetics. If either parent has any of these pathologies, the chances of their child suffering from it increase.
• Mother’s age: The older the mother is at the time of giving birth, the risk of developing it increases. In addition, women are more likely to acquire it than men.
• Cold environments and the most polluted cities: increase the options that may be suffered. There are also other factors that can also influence as triggers; such as food allergies to dust, the use of fabrics such as wool or nylon, smoking tobacco, stress, insomnia or sweat, among others.
