Rosacea is a chronical skin disease which principal source still unknown. It uses to focalize in the face but, it also may appear on eyes and sometimes, in neck and décolletage.
This disease is characterized by skin redness due to external factors, like cold, sunlight, and others. It shows with symptoms like redness, spots and in advanced stages, skin thickening.
About 40 million people around the world suffer from rosacea.
Talking about rosacea’s causes, as we told previously, it still unknown but, there are some factors that suggest a possible genetic linkage, and also some people’s propensity to have severe skin redness due to external factors like cold or excess of sunlight.
Because we are talking about a chronical disease, rosacea does not present an immediate and definitive cure, but, there are some treatments that help fight the spreads and decrease pathology effects.
Additionally, because of rosacea’s propensity to get worse due to some external factors, we have here some advices to avoid the spreads:
- Use sunscreen every day.
- Avoid drink alcohol.
- Do not use oily cosmetic products.
- Avoid excessive sunlight exposition.
- Protect your skin from cold.
