Vitamin E is an antioxidant. That means it protects body tissue from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals can damage cells, tissues, and organs, causing premature aging.
In addition, this vitamin is ideal for treating scars and dark spots that occur on the skin, as it can hydrate dry skin to prevent irritation. It is found in foods such as nuts, corn vegetable oils, spinach, broccoli, among others.
On the other hand, a study by the Endocrine Society of Boston has found a relationship between the presence of wrinkles at an early age and very marked, (mainly in post-menopausal women) with low bone density, and this apparently is due to low levels of vitamin K2.
